Hardware Engineering Technical Leader - FPGA Verification - 12 to 17 Years - Bangalore
Duo Security
Meet the Team
We are part of the Common Hardware Group, with our team specializing in FPGA verification. Our work spans both sophisticated data-path and challenging control-path FPGAs. The verification process includes crafting the DV architecture, test plan, and coverage plan, all the way through to final DV sign-off. We leverage industry-standard tools for simulation, linting, coverage, and assertions, incorporating various quality metrics to ensure a robust process. Our ultimate goal is to deliver bug-free RTL for first-pass success on the board. Additionally, we collaborate closely with our remote teams based in US and Italy.
Your Impact
Strategy & Planning: Develop comprehensive FPGA verification strategies, methodologies, and detailed test plans from initial concept through to sign-off.
Testbench Development: Design and implement robust, self-checking testbenches using UVM/System Verilog, incorporating BFMs, checkers, monitors, and scoreboards.
Execution & Debug: Manage functional coverage analysis, regression testing, root cause analysis, and debugging of failures.
Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior verification engineers, offer technical guidance, and drive successful project execution
Collaboration: Collaborate with RTL designers to understand specifications and support hardware bring-up and integration.
Process Improvement: Promote continuous improvement in verification methodologies and processes.
Facilitates/encourages knowledge sharing in the team (e.g., brownbags, demos, design sessions).
Required Skills
Experience: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering with over 12 years of experience in FPGA/ASIC verification, including leadership roles.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in System Verilog, UVM, Verilog/VHDL, and simulation tools such as VCS, QuestaSim, DVE, and Verdi.
Protocols: Extensive experience with PCIe, Ethernet, AXI, DDR, or similar high-speed interfaces.
Platforms: Familiarity with AMD (Xilinx), Intel (Altera), or Microsemi FPGAs
Scripting: Proficient in Perl, Tcl, or Python.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and a collaborative team spirit.
