As a Data Science Learning & Development Manager, you will lead the evolution of our data science training strategy, building on a strong foundation while introducing new ideas and scalable solutions. This role blends technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful learning experiences across the data science function and broader organization. You will manage curriculum development, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards, contribute to training governance, and partner with stakeholders across 84.51° and Kroger Technology & Digital to drive AI enablement. This is a highly visible, flexible role that requires a passion for teaching, a bias for action, and the ability to influence through both encouragement and accountability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and evolve the data science learning and development strategy, building on existing frameworks and introducing innovative approaches
- Lead the execution of the 2026 data science curriculum, including identifying quarterly training priorities with leadership and coordinating with internal and external trainers
- Maintain L&D Power BI dashboards to measure engagement, and enhance dashboards to broaden visibility, streamline processing, and improve accountability
- Present training initiatives through regular newsletters, in-person presentations, and other communication channels to drive awareness and participation
- Collaborate with cross-functional L&D partners to identify and execute shared training opportunities
- Serve as a key contributor to AI enablement efforts, partnering with KTD and enterprise L&D to scale AI education across the enterprise
- Contribute to content provider strategies and engagements with existing platforms such as Pluralsight, Coursera, and Degreed, and evaluate fit of potential future vendors
- Support trainers in designing and publishing content using Degreed and the LXD (Learning Experience Design) framework
- Implement and manage training governance processes to ensure content quality, discoverability, and alignment with evolving standards
- Operate with flexibility and resilience in a dynamic environment, providing thought leadership and hands-on support where needed
- Influence stakeholders through positivity, clear communication, and constructive feedback to ensure training success
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong technical foundation with experience in SQL, PySpark, Power BI, Databricks, and Python
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience engaging technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with Degreed and to curate engaging training content
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions including HR, client-facing, and leadership teams
- Passion for learning, teaching, and enabling others through high-quality training experiences
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience managing or contributing to enterprise-wide learning and development initiatives
- Familiarity with training governance and content lifecycle management
- Experience scaling training programs across diverse technical audiences
- Strong stakeholder management and influence skills, especially in matrixed organizations
- Background in AI education or enablement initiatives

- The stated salary range represents the entire span applicable across all geographic markets from lowest to highest. Actual salary offers will be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data and cost of labor.
