Program Director, Federal Accounts
Abridge
About Abridge
Abridge was founded in 2018 with the mission of powering deeper understanding in healthcare. Our AI-powered platform was purpose-built for medical conversations, improving clinical documentation efficiencies while enabling clinicians to focus on what matters most—their patients.
Our enterprise-grade technology transforms patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes in real-time, with deep EMR integrations. Powered by Linked Evidence and our purpose-built, auditable AI, we are the only company that maps AI-generated summaries to ground truth, helping providers quickly trust and verify the output. As pioneers in generative AI for healthcare, we are setting the industry standards for the responsible deployment of AI across health systems.
We are a growing team of practicing MDs, AI scientists, PhDs, creatives, technologists, and engineers working together to empower people and make care make more sense. We have offices located in the SoHo neighborhood of New York, the Mission District in San Francisco, and East Liberty in Pittsburgh.
The Role
Abridge is seeking a seasoned Program Director to join our Partner Experience Operations team. This role will be dedicated to leading our most strategic and complex partnerships at the federal level. You will be directly accountable for the successful execution of a government contract that includes navigating rigorous compliance controls, government reporting protocols, and cross-functional technical and operational integrations.
Reporting to the Head of Partner Experience Operations, you will serve as the primary program lead across all internal and external workstreams supporting the federal partnership. You will build and manage a comprehensive program plan, guide teams across product, engineering, implementation, data, legal, and compliance, and act as the main liaison with senior leaders from the partner organization and relevant government agencies.
This role requires a strong command of regulatory environments, extreme attention to detail, and executive-level communication skills. It is an ideal opportunity for a highly organized and mission-oriented program leader with experience in federal healthcare or other government-supported enterprise programs.

Serve as the primary program leader for Abridge and our client, regularly interfacing with senior executives, legal/government representatives, and technical leads to define and execute on strategic objectives
Ensure adherence to critical controls and evolving regulatory and contractual requirements, working closely with legal and compliance partners to identify gaps and execute remediation plans
Anticipate and proactively mitigate risks, escalating when appropriate and enabling decision-making across senior stakeholders
Facilitate regular touchpoints, including daily standups, with the client and relevant internal teams to drive effective project progress and partnership management across all workstreams
Drive operational excellence, including regular progress tracking, milestone reporting, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement
Coordinate and lead cross-functional workstreams, managing inputs across product, engineering, data, implementation, legal, compliance, and partner success
Communicate program health and strategy regularly with Abridge senior leadership and the partner’s executive teams through clear, concise reporting and presentations
Create and scale repeatable processes, documentation, and tooling to support long-term growth and maturity of program operations for similar client engagements
What You’ll Bring

Proven ability to lead large-scale, high-complexity programs with multiple stakeholders and workstreams
You’ve led enterprise-scale programs involving platform integrations or healthcare system deployments
You’ve managed partner programs in government or public sector settings
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a track record of delivering results on time and on budget
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including experience interfacing directly with senior client stakeholders and internal executives
Strong leadership and influencing skills. You build trust and drive alignment even without formal authority

Deep experience using project and program management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Jira) to manage large initiatives
Comfort working with regulatory and compliance frameworks, ideally in partnership with legal teams or government bodies
Experience aligning technical and non-technical teams across product, engineering, success, and operations functions
