We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Senior Conversion Rate Optimization Manager to lead our CRO program and drive strategic initiatives that maximize conversion rates across all ActiveCampaign-owned digital properties, with a primary focus on ActiveCampaign.com. This role is critical to our growth strategy, directly impacting revenue by optimizing the performance of our existing web traffic without requiring incremental paid investment.
As our Senior CRO Manager, you will establish and lead comprehensive CRO frameworks and strategies, applying advanced data-driven methodologies to enhance user experience and significantly increase conversion rates. You'll work at the intersection of analytics, user experience, and business strategy to unlock the full potential of our digital presence. You will prioritize tests, changes, and updates to the digital experience with a focus on driving growth.
Strategic Leadership & Implementation for Website Performance (50%)
- Transform our website into a compelling, high-converting engagement vehicle that resonates with SMB decision-makers.
- Create a seamless, choreographed digital buyer journey that guides prospects from awareness through trial conversion and purchase.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to eliminate friction points and create smooth handoffs between channels.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive CRO roadmap, identifying high-impact optimization opportunities across all digital touchpoints.
- Lead the prioritization and sequencing of testing initiatives based on potential revenue impact, effort required, and strategic alignment.
- Design and implement scalable CRO frameworks and methodologies that can be applied across multiple digital properties.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure CRO initiatives align with broader business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Champion a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Trial Experience Integration: Ensure seamless transition from website to trial experience, minimizing drop-off and maximizing activation rates.
- Work closely with product teams to identify and remove barriers to trial success.
- Create feedback loops between trial performance data and website optimization strategies.
Analysis & Insights Communication (30%)
- Conduct deep-dive analyses of user behavior, conversion funnels, and testing outcomes using advanced analytics tools.
- Transform complex data sets into actionable insights and compelling narratives for various stakeholder audiences.
- Create and maintain comprehensive reporting dashboards to track CRO program performance and ROI.
- Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Develop and document best practices and learnings to build institutional knowledge.
Digital Experience Team Collaboration (20%)
- Partner with the digital experience team to ensure smooth execution of optimization initiatives and tests.
- Support website stability and performance optimization efforts.
- Contribute to the overall digital strategy and participate in key initiatives that enhance the customer journey.
- Provide CRO expertise and guidance on new feature launches and website updates.
What is needed:
- 5+ years of proven experience in conversion rate optimization, with demonstrated success in B2B SaaS environments preferred.
- Expert-level proficiency with CRO and analytics tools including Adobe analytics, Adobe Target, or other site analytics/testing/personalization tools.
- Strong statistical knowledge and experience with A/B testing, multivariate testing, and personalization strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent optimization initiatives.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
