About the Role

The Manager of IT Enterprise Applications defines, designs, and governs technology solutions that align internal operations with the organization’s strategic plan. This role leads the delivery and lifecycle management of enterprise SaaS applications, sets standards for support and change, and manages platform configuration/customization (e.g., Microsoft, Slack, Zoom, Confluence, Jira, Egnyte, ServiceNow). The manager drives a balanced roadmap—meeting short‑term business needs while steering toward long‑term objectives and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Strategic Application Ownership

  • Translate business strategies into multi‑year application roadmaps; balance long‑term goals with pragmatic short‑term solutions and quick wins.

  • Evaluate application/infrastructure scalability, plan upgrades/releases, and guide configuration change governance (implementation, backup, and rollback plans).

Team Leadership & Vendor/Partner Management

  • Manage the Enterprise Applications function; set priorities, manage workload, and escalate effectively.

  • Manage and coach an individual‑contributors: set objectives, review designs, ensure platform health/compliance, and facilitate professional growth.

  • Hire, develop, and mentor staff; build an engaged, high‑performance team culture aligned to service level commitments.

  • Oversee vendor relationships and implementation partners to ensure delivery quality and adherence to standards.

Service Management & Operational Excellence

  • Operate within an ITIL‑aligned support model focusing on quality support, communication, stakeholder engagement, and measurable performance metrics.

  • Establish and report on KPIs/SLAs for application health, incident/problem management, change success, and project delivery.

  • Provide internal users with top‑tier support enablement, training, and clear documentation; champion “shift‑left” knowledge practices.

Project & Portfolio Delivery

  • Direct project execution (system upgrades, new process rollouts, audits, migrations) with defined timelines, risk controls, and stakeholder communication.

  • Analyze cost, value, and risk of application investments; advise leadership on prioritization and action.

Platform Governance

  • Guide the backlog: workflows, integrations, scripting standards, testing protocols, reporting/dashboards, and documentation.

  • Ensure platform compliance (health, usage, security), coordinate instance upgrades, and manage discovery/orchestration where applicable.

Who You Are

  • Leadership & People Management: Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a high‑performance team; hiring, coaching, and mentoring; accountability to service levels.

  • Delivery & Governance: Strong experience directing IT solution delivery, project management, and operational support within an ITIL framework.

  • Enterprise Applications Oversight: Able to review technical designs, prioritize work, and uphold standards for configuration, integrations, testing, and documentation.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication; ability to listen to business problems, chart solution paths, and advise on tool selection and practices.

  • Financial & Risk Acumen: Analyze cost/value/risk and provide executive‑level recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, pilot and integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications to improve business outcomes, automation and decision-making.

  • Experience establishing governance models for AI usage, including data privacy, security, compliance and responsible model deployment within regulated enterprise environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT leadership with demonstrated success in Enterprise Applications (specifically, Microsoft, Zoom, Slack, Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow) management and solution delivery.

  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot Agents (governance, deployment, metrics, etc.).

  • Superior project management, supervisory, and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Experience partnering with vendors and holding them accountable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to AI in an enterprise environment.

  • CMMC / FedRAMP Moderate experience.

On-Camera Policy

  • To support a fair, transparent, and engaging interview experience, candidates interviewing remotely are expected to be on camera during all video interviews.

  • Being on camera fosters authentic connection, improves communication, and allows for full engagement from both candidates and interviewers.

  • We understand that technical, bandwidth, or location-related challenges may occasionally prevent video use. If this applies, candidates are required to notify us in advance so we can explore appropriate accommodations.
