What You’ll Do
The Provider Development Analyst is responsible for sourcing, qualifying, developing, and managing transportation providers to support transportation service offerings across ground expedite, truckload, air freight, charter, and cross-border operations. This role ensures providers meet company and customer performance, compliance, and service standards while supporting strategic capacity initiatives.

Provider Qualification & Onboarding
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new providers to ensure compliance with company, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Validate insurance, safety scores, authority, operational capabilities, and contractual documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider records within internal systems.
Compliance & File Management
- Audit provider files to ensure ongoing compliance with safety, insurance, and customer-specific requirements.
- Update and maintain electronic documentation and certifications.
- Remove or escalate non-compliant providers in accordance with established procedures.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor provider performance metrics including on-time delivery, turnbacks, service failures, claims, and responsiveness.
- Generate and analyze performance reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support corrective action plans when service standards are not met.
- Assist with reporting for ISO and other quality initiatives.
Provider Engagement & Development
- Communicate service expectations, safety requirements, and procedural updates to providers.
- Participate in provider performance discussions and recurring reviews.
- Support carrier conferences and customer-facing meetings as needed.
Operational Support
- Resolve provider-related service issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in securing capacity for charter or expedited shipments during peak demand.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales/KAMs, and Leadership to align provider capabilities with customer needs.
- Support strategic initiatives including system enhancements and market expansion efforts.

- Flexible availability including occasional evenings or weekends based on business needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 2 years related experience in carrier management, logistics operations, premium transportation, or related field.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and act on performance data.
- Proficiency in reporting tools and transportation management systems.
- Ability to calculate percentages, rates, margins, and cost impacts.
- Working knowledge of transportation modes (expedite, truckload, charter, air, cross-border) preferred.
Communication & Professional Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with transportation providers.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.

- Noise level is quiet to moderated with exposure to office machines, phones, faxes, computers, and copiers. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
