What You’ll Do

The Customs Entry Specialist will be responsible for preparing entries for submission to Customs and Border Protection. This role ensures compliance with all applicable tariff regulations, accurately classifies goods, and supports the timely clearance of shipments.

  • Perform data entry and provide general administrative and clerical support.
  • Manage and respond to daily email requests related to account transactions in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with account managers regarding routine account issues, updates, and inquiries.
  • Prepare, review, and process documentation in a paperless environment for U.S. Customs and other government agency releases.
  • Review and verify import entry documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Analyze documentation to confirm Other Government Agency (OGA) declarations and complete required filings as necessary.
  • Maintain, organize, and update records related to client transactional activities.
  • Prepare and submit Import Security Filing (ISF) entries in a paperless format in compliance with U.S. Customs requirements.
  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements and efficiencies.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Industry experience and Cargowise experience is helpful.
  • Basic understanding of Customs Process
  • Outlook, Micro Soft Word and Excel knowledge.
  • Be able to work in a fast pace, high volume, high demand environment
  • Work well with a team and ever-changing environment.
