POSITION SUMMARY:

This CTM position will be focused on the adoption of AtriCure’s Cryo Nerve Block Therapy for acute post-operative pain relief in cardiothoracic and other procedures involving the chest wall in an assigned geography. The CTM will develop and execute a business plan that creates awareness, advocacy, and routine adoption of the therapy; this includes prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales within an individual hospital and related departments or at the health system level. This role must be able to collaborate with adjacent sales teams and individuals within a designated geography to develop, train and support physicians’ and their staff on AtriCure’s Pain Management products. This position requires excellent organization, relationship management, teamwork, and strategic planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Develop, implement and execute a strategic business plan for a designated territory to achieve assigned objectives
  • Continually identify new customers, contacts and opportunities
  • Increase penetration and adoption within existing accounts to build upon and grow the base business
  • Identify and educate key health care professionals that manage post-operative pain in the hospital setting
  • Manage and coordinate customer visits, educational programs, procedural observations, proctoring, and relevant tradeshow participation
  • Collaborates with full-line Area Sales Directors and CSM to cross-functionally coordinate activities and targeting between the CSM and CTM
  • Form relationships with hospital administration to understand hospital dynamics; develop and present the value proposition of the therapy for administrative buy-in
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to implement and execute strategies to achieve corporate objectives
  • Responsible for satisfying the requirements for hospital account and credentialing processes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Specific knowledge and selling or support experience related to post-operative pain management preferred
  • Must have strong clinical and technical aptitude
  • Must have documented successful track record with sales quota achievement within medical device industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; the candidate must enjoy and excel at personal relationship building
  • Problem-solving / trouble-shooting skills
  • Computer experience with Microsoft programs such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to travel up to 35%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting cardiac or thoracic procedures
  • Experience with therapy awareness in the medical device industry

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed
  • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed
  • Ability to pass account and hospital credentialing processes
