We’re searching for a Senior Staff Brand Marketing professional.
As Senior Staff, Brand Marketing, you'll be the steward of the Aurora brand, playing a critical role in developing and executing marketing strategies that build our brand awareness, sentiment, and connection with key audiences. You'll lead brand campaigns, shape our employer brand to attract top talent, and manage key co-marketing partnerships. We’re looking for a seasoned brand leader with deep expertise in brand strategy, storytelling, and campaign management, preferably with B2B tech experience (or similar industries). The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic thinker who can translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives and manage integrated campaigns from brief to execution.
In this role you will
Brand Marketing (60%)
- Brand Strategy & Storytelling: Develop and execute integrated strategies for major company moments, product announcements, and brand campaigns. Craft sharp, inspiring campaign briefs for internal teams and external agencies. Develop scripts and concepts in close collaboration with our creative teams to produce breakthrough content across all forms of Aurora’s media and events.
- Integrated Campaign Management: Lead the planning, execution, and measurement of integrated, multi-channel brand campaigns and 360 marketing programs with top-tier media platforms to effectively reach target audiences and achieve business goals. Leverage agencies and internal creative teams to develop and deploy content. Measure and report on campaign performance.
- Measurement, Market Research, & Insights: Lead our brand tracker initiative and conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Deeply understand our various audiences (Customers, Industry Informed & Influential, Analysts & Investors, GR Stakeholders, Gen-Pop, Top Talent) and shape our voice and messaging to them. Use audience insights to inform our marketing strategies and content.
- Brand Stewardship: In collaboration with the creative team, act as a steward of the Aurora brand. Ensure consistency in our voice, look, and feel, and champion adherence to brand identity and guidelines across all touchpoints.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: In addition to regular coordination across MarComm, product, legal, etc. this role will serve as a key link between the marketing team and the Government Relations and Safety teams, providing strategic and executional support for their campaigns and strategic initiatives, like “Aurora Works” economic impact program. Provide approved brand assets to all cross-functional partners (internal and external).
Employer Brand (30%)
- Strategy & Campaigns: Develop and execute a comprehensive employer brand strategy and associated campaigns to attract and engage top technical talent.
- Content Development: Partner with engineering and Talent Acquisition teams to develop compelling technical content that showcases Aurora as an employer of choice.
- Talent Acquisition Events: Contribute to the Talent Acquisition events strategy, ensuring our employer brand is powerfully represented and effectively persuading potential employees to consider Aurora. Help develop engaging content and activations.
Partnership Marketing (10%)
- Relationship: Build and maintain relationships with key marketing stakeholders across our OEM and industry partners. Share approved brand assets and give branding guidance and approval on co-marketing efforts.
- Co-Marketing: Manage and execute co-marketing initiatives with our OEM and industry partners across campaigns, collateral, announcements, and events to amplify our reach and message.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in brand marketing within an agency, B2B, or tech marketing setting.
- Proven track record as a brand marketing strategist who is an expert at executing campaigns from brief, to deployment, to reporting.
- Experience managing paid media campaigns and using data analytics for optimization and reporting.
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to scale your daily impact and develop campaigns
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven ability to act as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert to diverse internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and effectively manage change, ambiguity, and shifting priorities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Passion for innovation and a deep understanding of automotive, tech, or transportation industry trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able and willing to work in Aurora’s San Francisco office 3 days a week and flexibility to travel and work across time zones as needed.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in the autonomous technology, logistics, or freight industry.
- Basic knowledge of design tools and the ability to visually communicate new concepts or create basic mockups.
The base salary range for this position is $163,000 - $261,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
