ABOUT THE TEAM
Basis Technologies' Talent and Development (T&D) team works to make our organization an engaging, inclusive home for Beeps to develop their careers and create positive change in the ad tech industry. T&D is made up of four collaborative teams: Talent Acquisition (recruits top talent for Basis), Talent Operations (provides benefits, payroll, perks, and systems support for Basis), Education and Development (leads training and education for Basis employees), and Talent Partners (heads up professional development, management resources, and employee relations).
Collectively, T&D is determined to bring the Basis Manifesto and guiding principles to life through our culture and practices. This team cultivates Raving Fans by constantly ideating on how to ensure every current and prospective employee receives the best experience possible.
WAYS YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
This position is responsible for responding to employee inquiries, providing end user support for HR Technologies, ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and providing transactional and administrative support across T&D. The role is ideal for individuals who are organized, adaptable, and committed to providing impactful partnership through efficient HR operations. The Talent Services Coordinator will contribute by:
- Processing HR transactions related to hiring, onboarding, talent movement, and terminations, with a focus on managing data entry and ensuring data accuracy across HRIS systems and internal resources
- Conducting regular audits of HRIS systems and internal resources data on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to maintain accuracy and flag potential issues for review. This includes but is not limited to data related to the headcount process, talent movement, terminations and trainings
- Providing administrative system support across all T&D teams, including but not limited to learning administration (course creation, enrollment in courses, attendance tracking and travel requests), talent administration (position and requisition creation, logging personnel changes), recruiting administration (processing referral and sign-on bonuses, external job board audit)
- Responding to employee inquiries in a timely manner, addressing employee concerns and educating employees on where to find resources, policies and procedures to drive a more self-service culture
- Providing ad hoc project support across T&D
- Supporting our Talent & Development team on site in the Chicago office as needed, primarily during Headquarter Weeks, approximately 2-3 days every 2-3 months.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Experience: 1-4 years in administrative or HR roles, preferably within a growing or startup organization
- High Attention to Detail: Meticulous in data management and documentation practices, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all HR processes
- Problem-Solving Skills: Resourceful and proactive in addressing challenges, with the ability to approach all situations with curiosity
- Work Ethic: Dedicated work ethic with a positive attitude and a service-oriented approach
- Adaptability: Maintain focus and curiosity, even when the situation is ambiguous. Ready to jump in and help wherever there is a need
- Professionalism: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Organization: Skilled in prioritization and managing multiple tasks; our business moves quickly and requires multitasking and self-direction
- Independence: Capable of working autonomously and managing competing demands for time
- Confidentiality: Trustworthiness and discretion with confidential information
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

- Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, or similar systems
