We are hiring a Head of Audience Development to nurture and drive growth in traffic, subscriptions, event attendance, social media, and newsletter subscriptions at Benzinga.com. As Head of Audience Development, you will have a direct hand in crafting strategy around all of our consumer touch points using data-driven strategies and multi-platform engagement. If you are a financial news and information junkie who knows how to generate traffic and target critical audiences, we want to talk to you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work directly with leaders of our editorial, social media, video, advertising, SEO, subscription, and affiliate marketing teams to understand the value of every visitor and what we can do to make their investing journey irresistible
  2. Understand the full customer journey and routinely prepare proposals to expand into new verticals and enhance others
  3. Stay abreast of the latest trends in content discovery and consumption
  4. Utilize business intelligence and visualization tools (across web, newsletters, social media, video and otherwise) to make informed decisions about our feature content.
  5. Turn new and returning users into loyal consumers of our free and paid products including, but not limited to, web content, newsletters, Benzinga PRO, and the app
  6. Liaise with product to prioritize biggest levers to optimize user paths and engagement
  7. Define measurable KPIs and goals for growth and engagement

The experience you need:

  1. Verifiable track record of success in audience development, ideally within financial media
  2. Minimum 3 years experience executing audience development campaigns across subscriptions, advertising, newsletters, and native apps
  3. Minimum 7 years experience in digital publications, preferably in the financial media sector.
  4. 2 years experience running digital marketing campaigns and/or managing a SEO, newsletter or social media team
  5. Experience working and communicating with senior leadership, including presentations to C-level executives
  6. Expert knowledge of SEO, email marketing, and paid social campaign tools
  7. Knowledge of the U.S. stock market and the world of finance and politics
  8. Extensive performance marketing experience preferred
