As a Senior Salesforce Engineer at Bold Penguin, you'll own the architecture and development of our Bold Penguin Managed Package - a production insurance quoting platform deployed across multiple customer organizations. You'll write sophisticated Apex code, build complex Lightning Web Components, and design scalable integrations between Salesforce and Bold Penguin's insurance marketplace. This is a hands-on role where you'll spend most of your time coding, conducting code reviews, and making architectural decisions that impact insurance agencies and brokers nationwide.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Develop modern Salesforce solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components
Own the full SDLC of the Bold Penguin Managed Package
Integrate Bold Penguin products as first class citizens in the Salesforce ecosystem
Use CI/CD to ship iterative improvements safely
Write comprehensive unit tests and maintain backwards compatibility
Work collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders to identify and implement enhancements
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance across customer organizations

Requirements

YOUR LOCATION
This is a fully remote role, with the exception of onboarding and optional in-office events.

Skills & Experience

5+ years hands-on Salesforce development experience in production enterprise environments
Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II) preferred but not required
Managed package development in a multi-org deployment environment
Expert-level Apex proficiency
Advanced Lightning Web Component development
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, and security model
Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, and modern development tools
Experience building bidirectional data integrations between Salesforce and other internal and
external systems
Experience with Financial Services Cloud preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours per day) at a desk working on a computer.
Must be able to use standard office equipment for extended periods of time, including but not limited to, a mouse, keyboard, phone and video conferencing.
