Assoc Financial Analyst
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for providing solid financial support to management. The Associate Financial Analyst has an impact on the quality and effectiveness of the company's financial plans and business decisions. This position is focused on the goal of ensuring that the organization has the tools and knowledge necessary to make sound financial and business decisions.
Essential Functions:
Prepare detailed monthly financial reporting - 35% Analyze performance and profitability of business units and products - 10% Assist in the coordination and preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts - 35% Understand financial aspects of the business, and assist with departmental process improvements that require financial expertise - 10% Perform ad hoc analysis as requested - 10%
Education:
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Relevant Work Experience:
1 to 3 years in related field
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in analyzing monthly financial results and performing in-depth financial analysis Experience in the preparation of monthly accounting accruals Experience in working with management to set and achieve goals and assisting in the development and input of assumptions for forecasts and budgets Experience in developing and presenting performance reports to management enabling them to leverage and maximize financial results Proficient with PC's for analysis and modeling In-depth Excel spreadsheet knowledge required Understanding revenue and expense accounting Detail and results-oriented Excellent written and oral communication skills Creative thinking, economic, and analytical skills
