Job Summary:
The Asset Clerk is responsible for tracking, organizing, and maintaining records of company assets, including hardware and other equipment. This role ensures accurate documentation, supports inventory audits, and assists in the lifecycle management of assets from acquisition to disposal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all IT Network and Voice assets in the asset management system.
- Tag and label new equipment upon arrival and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist with asset audits and physical inventory checks.
- Coordinate asset transfers, disposals, and returns.
- Support procurement and receiving processes by verifying deliveries.
- Monitor asset usage and report discrepancies or losses.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure asset compliance and availability.
- Assist in generate regular reports on asset status, location, and lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding asset management.
- Make deliveries to customer sites within 50 miles.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in inventory or asset management is a plus.
- Familiarity with asset tracking software (e.g., ServiceNow,Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (35lbs).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with barcode scanners or RFID systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Proficient using Outlook/ email
Additional Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation and wear appropriate professional attire while working at the customer site.
