The Censys Internet Map is the most timely, comprehensive, detailed, enriched, and accurate view of hosts, services, and certificates on the Internet. Our Internet Map is the ground truth intelligence that powers the Censys Search and Data products, as well as our Exposure Management product. Our Internet Map empowers security teams across a variety of functions, including threat hunting, drives national and international cybersecurity efforts, and enriches third party applications and services, allowing our customers to gain an advantage over rapidly evolving cyber-attack threats.

As Product Manager for the Censys Internet Map product line you will be responsible for the Censys Search product (delivered as SaaS and API), as well as our Data product (delivered as direct DB access and downloads), across both commercial and government customer bases. You will also be responsible for the underlying Internet Map that drives both the Internet Map products and our Exposure Management product.

This is a technical product and a technical role, which will require someone who has worked in cybersecurity either in a Product role or in a security practitioner, researcher, or engineering role.

Role Responsibilities:

• Understanding and communicating the problem of our users and customers.
• Defining requirements for a solution that is loved by our users and customers.
• Surfacing key insights and patterns to inform the vision, strategy, and product roadmap.
• Conducting market, competitive, customer, and gap analysis to inform the vision, strategy, and product roadmap through empirical and data driven analysis.
• Communicating product vision and strategy to external and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborating with User Experience Researchers to conduct qualitative customer interviews, identify challenging customers problems, and validate use cases.
• Defining, sequencing, and prioritizing the product backlog into discrete milestones that enable R&D to continuously develop and deliver incremental customer value on the path to releasing an MVP.
• Identifying risks before they become critical blockers by closely working with teams to build a technical understanding of the solution’s limitations.
• Developing key positioning & messaging with Product Marketing Manager counterparts to enable Go-To-Market teams to emphasize value and differentiate in the selling cycle.
• Setting success metrics and tracking metrics post-launch to guide investment in iterative improvements.
• Understanding general business operations, including how customers interact with Censys, to facilitate improvement of key processes to remove bottlenecks and improve productivity.
• Building a deep understanding of competitive and emergent solutions to inform gap analysis and product roadmap decisions.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 to 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education, in a product role and/or on a security team (e.g., SOC, threat analyst, vulnerability testing)
• Strong technical knowledge of network protocols and Internet infrastructure including: TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4 and IPv6, DNS, WHOIS, certificates, TLS, BGP, protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP, FTP, RDP, and Cloud Services.
• Understanding and familiarity with security best practices and threat hunting workflows

• Recognized as a thought leader internally and externally.
• Ability to drive clarity in an area through strong verbal and written communication.
• Able to present at all skill levels of the company.
• Appropriately influences and persuades others to a course of action without formal authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing SaaS applications or cloud solutions, or experience developing API or Data products, ideally for cyber security.
• Experience operating in an Agile development environment
• Thrive in a fast paced startup environment where changes happen quickly

• Previous experience in Threat Hunting roles, or Product roles targeted to Threat Hunters, is a plus.

Our target salary range for this role is between $151,000 USD and $200,000 USD + bonus eligibility and equity.
