Job Title: Senior Sales (Government Partnerships)

Location: TBD (Remote or Hybrid/Cleveland)

Team: Government Partnerships (SALES)

Reports To: EVP Strategic Partnerships

At CHAMP, we are redefining the technology used by Motor Vehicle Agencies and their stakeholders. We do so with innovative, cloud-based software that enhances efficiency, security, and interoperability. Our solutions replace outdated processes with modern, scalable platforms, enabling organizations to operate with greater speed and accuracy in an increasingly digital world.

What You’ll Do:

The Senior Sales Rep is responsible for leading Champ Titles’ sales team and driving new business growth with government partners—primarily state DMVs, Departments of Revenue, and related agencies.

This leader will shape our go-to-market strategy, develop high-level relationships with public-sector executives, and guide prospects through long, complex government procurement cycles. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in GovTech sales, strong leadership skills, an understanding of enterprise SaaS, and a passion for modernizing government operations.

Strategic Leadership & Sales Management

  • Lead, mentor, and scale the Government Partnerships / Sales team, setting performance standards, KPIs, and development plans.
  • Own the public-sector go-to-market strategy, including territory planning, pipeline development, and revenue forecasting.
  • Drive alignment across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Implementation to ensure success in long-cycle enterprise deals.

Government Partnerships & Business Development

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior officials within state motor vehicle agencies and other government partners.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on digital government modernization, title automation, and technology-enabled transformation.
  • Oversee the full sales cycle—from initial outreach through RFP response, stakeholder engagement, contracting, and handoff to implementation.

Market Expertise & Thought Leadership

  • Develop a deep understanding of government motor vehicle operations, title and registration workflows, and associated regulatory environments.
  • Identify market trends, funding opportunities, and modernization priorities that can shape product and sales strategies.
  • Represent Champ Titles at conferences, government association events, and industry forums.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure CRM discipline, pipeline accuracy, and data-driven decision-making across the team.
  • Partner with Marketing on demand-generation strategies, campaigns, and content that resonate with public-sector leaders.
  • Collaborate with Product to communicate customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market feedback.

What You Bring:

Required

  • 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, including at least 5 years selling to government entities (state government preferred).
  • Proven track record leading or managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Experience navigating long government procurement cycles, RFP processes, and multi-stakeholder engagements.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to build trust with senior government officials.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, digital transformation, or GovTech solutions.

Preferred

  • Experience working with motor vehicle agencies, transportation departments, departments of revenue, or related public-sector domains.
  • Understanding of vehicle titling, registration, lien processes, or comparable operational workflows.
  • Prior involvement in policy, regulatory, or enterprise modernization projects at the state level.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow a market or expand into new states.

Salary Range:

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $185,000 annually. This is a good faith estimate, and final compensation may vary based on experience and skills.
