The Opportunity
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Communications, the Internal Communications Manager collaborates across the business to influence employee attitudes and build morale through structured internal communication strategies and documentation of company policies. The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day communications across a variety of internal platforms including email, Teams channels, meetings, and our internal documentation platform – ensuring that our team members stay informed and are able to do their best work. This individual must have strong organizational skills, a passion for writing, a love of learning, and a curiosity for innovation.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide oversight, amplification, and support for the Guidebook (ConstructConnect’s internal, single source of truth that documents and defines key processes), to ensure effective, engaging content that meets business needs.
- Train and support skill development for Guidebook scribes across the organization, regularly reviewing documentation to ensure it is up-to-date and consistent with internal communication best practices.
- Work closely with key stakeholders across the business to understand their communication requirements and collaborate with them to plan, create, and execute a measurable communication strategy.
- Write and manage the distribution of key communications including internal newsletters and emails.
- Apply corporate brand standards across all internal platforms and communications.
- Manage companywide quarterly Town Hall meetings including collaboration with third-party vendors to deliver an optimum employee experience. Management of onsite set-up in the Cincinnati office and management of the virtual meeting stream for remote participants.
- Verify corporate communications are factually accurate and publication-ready before distribution.
- Incorporate best practices and insights from research to improve effectiveness and efficiency, while bringing new ideas to the table that drive deeper engagement through creative channels and tactics.

Qualifications
What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience
- Outstanding writing skills, including authoring original content, editing content received from others, handling quality control, and proofreading for a high-volume workload.
- Outstanding verbal communication (both an articulate speaker and active listener), adapting to diverse audiences, and effectively engaging at the executive level.
- Ability to align closely with senior leaders and supervisors while assuming responsibility for owning projects and delivering results.
- Self-motivated with the initiative to make things happen and the ability to take a vision and make it a reality.
- Strong desire to teach, motivate, and influence others to drive the adoption of new initiatives.
- Passion for making internal content readily accessible for team members across the organization.
- Willingness and desire to invest in professional development and learn new on-the-job skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft products, third-party marketing and email delivery platforms, Git-based platforms, Markdown, VS Code, Confluence, Jira and generative AI platforms.
- Ability to routinely link communications to broader organizational goals and values.
- Creative thinker: conceives and executes innovative solutions to meet or exceed goals.
- Strong influencer who builds partnerships with communications colleagues, executives, and employees at multiple levels in other disciplines.
- Technically minded and able to properly implement communications alongside the existing tech stack.
- Customer-focused and highly responsive with a demonstrated ability to anticipate, set, and manage expectations.
- Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic, fast-paced corporate environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, and working on a computer for extended periods. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.
- Team members are expected to maintain a dedicated and ergonomically appropriate remote workspace.
- Team members who live within commuting distance of one of our office locations (Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky or Atlanta, Georgia) are expected to work in a hybrid capacity, with regular in-office presence as determined by the team or department.
- Team members who live outside of commuting distance will be designated as remote team members. While not required to report to an office regularly, remote team members may be expected to travel to a designated office location occasionally for team meetings, training, or other business needs with reasonable notice.
- All team members must reside and perform their work within the United States.
