Overview
This position sits within our Marketing division, which plans, directs, implements, and measures marketing programs for our company, people, and software products.
The Email Marketing Specialist will work closely with the marketing team to execute our email marketing strategy and drive engagement across our customer base. You will be responsible for building and maintaining email lists, segmenting audiences, executing email campaigns, and ensuring compliance with email best practices and regulations. This is an entry-level role perfect for a motivated marketer eager to develop expertise in email marketing and marketing automation.
The Email Marketing Specialist will play a key role in maintaining our email marketing operations, from list management and segmentation to campaign execution and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Email Campaign Execution: Build, test, and deploy email campaigns in HubSpot, ensuring all emails are error-free and aligned with brand standards before deployment.
- List Management & Segmentation: Create and maintain email lists and audience segments based on customer behavior, demographics, and engagement data to deliver targeted, relevant content.
- Email Strategy Implementation: Follow established email marketing strategies and calendars, working with the broader marketing team to ensure timely execution of campaigns.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Maintain strict adherence to email security practices, CAN-SPAM regulations, GDPR requirements, and other anti-spam guidelines to protect sender reputation and ensure deliverability.
- Database Hygiene: Regularly clean and update email databases, managing bounces, unsubscribes, and list quality to maintain high deliverability rates.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key email metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and unsubscribe rates, reporting results to stakeholders.
- Platform Management: Manage subscription preferences, suppression lists, and opt-in/opt-out processes to respect recipient choices and maintain compliance.
- A/B Testing: Assist in developing and executing email tests to optimize subject lines, content, send times, and calls-to-action.
- Collaboration: Partner with content creators, designers, and other marketing team members to ensure cohesive messaging and creative execution.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current on email marketing trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to continuously improve campaign performance.

Qualifications
What You Bring to the Team
- Have 1-3 years of marketing experience, preferably with exposure to email marketing or digital marketing.
- Have basic knowledge of HubSpot or demonstrate strong willingness to learn and upskill quickly.
- Understand email marketing fundamentals including list segmentation, deliverability, and performance metrics.
- Have knowledge of email compliance regulations including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and anti-spam best practices.
- Show strong attention to detail with ability to proof and QA emails before deployment.
- Have excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and eagerness to learn new skills and take on challenges.
- Possess strong written communication skills for crafting engaging email copy.
- Have basic understanding of HTML for email is a plus but not required.
- Show collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate analytical thinking with ability to interpret performance data and identify trends.
- Have proactive problem-solving skills and willingness to ask questions and seek guidance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, and working on a computer for extended periods. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.
- Team members who live within commuting distance of one of our Atlanta office are expected to work in a hybrid capacity, with regular in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- All team members must reside and perform their work within the United States.
