About The Team

CoverMyMeds (CMM) is a leading healthcare organization committed to advancing our data and analytics capabilities. We are currently seeking an Analytics Portfolio Manager to join our team in the Data & Analytics (D&A) organization. This role will be a central point of contact for D&A teams to support successful implementation of portfolio management and operating model initiatives. This position requires strong organizational skills to assist multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The Analytics Portfolio Manager will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the D&A organization, enable our team’s day-to-day operations, support efforts to ensure D&A leaders’ and team members’ time is optimized, develop systems that align information flow with decision-making processes, and drive successful engagement between our teams and leaders across CMM. This role will collaborate with data scientists, business intelligence analysts, and cross-functional business partners in technology, product, operations, and commercial teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Your daily to-dos will shift with business needs, but here’s a snapshot of what to expect:

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee systems which coordinate intake of requests to D&A teams, projects, and initiatives across teams with limited direction. Advance and maintain D&A work management systems to enable our teams in delivery of high value analytics, develops recommendations on optimizations, monitors for quality and reliability.
  • Relationship Management: Build trusted and effective relationships working with Team Leads, execution team members delivering work, partners who enable the teams to scale and implement work, D&A leadership providing insights and visibility to performance, and business partners regarding project intake, processes for status sharing, and issue resolution, as applicable.
  • Meeting Facilitation & Training: Conduct operating model ceremonies with Team Leaders to focus on progress updates, issue resolution, and planning. Facilitate sessions with other Portfolio Managers and Team Leads to align on prioritization of work. Provide regular updates on portfolio status to D&A leaders, including conducting effective training and building materials for team members to successfully adopt best practices.
  • Work with D&A leaders to highlight important work, visualize team backlog and determine future capacity, identify major or recurrent issues or bottlenecks experienced by D&A teams.
  • Ensure alignment between analytics initiatives and overall business strategy

Skills You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), with ability to present complex info to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools, such as Jira or Miro
  • A natural collaborator who brings disparate stakeholders and cross-functional leaders together to make things happen, asking the right questions and ensuring follow-ups are completed
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and remove bottlenecks.
  • Organized and high attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in portfolio, project, or program management, preferably within a data and analytics context.
  • Experience executing data & analytics projects.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$87,400 - $145,600
