Job Title: Multimedia Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Multimedia Designer to support digital communications and branding initiatives. This role involves designing visual assets, managing content across platforms, maintaining web presence, and supporting multimedia production to ensure consistent and engaging communication.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Branding

  • Create visually compelling, brand-consistent graphics for digital platforms including social media and websites
  • Apply design principles such as typography, layout, and color theory to produce high-quality deliverables

Content Coordination

  • Develop and maintain a structured content calendar for social media and digital communications
  • Support the planning and distribution of external communications across various channels

Web Maintenance

  • Perform regular website updates using a Content Management System (CMS)
  • Ensure all web content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with organizational standards

Multimedia Production

  • Capture and edit photography and video content for events and digital use
  • Optimize multimedia assets for web and social media platforms

Quality Control

  • Maintain consistency and professionalism across all digital and visual communications
  • Review and refine content to ensure clarity, accessibility, and brand alignment

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in graphic design, multimedia, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with photography and videography, including basic editing
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms for website content updates
  • Experience managing or contributing to social media content calendars
  • Strong understanding of design fundamentals (typography, layout, color theory)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of digital accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as Drupal
  • Familiarity with motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro)
  • Experience in public sector, non-profit, or communications-focused environments
  • Exposure to social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social)
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, user-friendly content
