About the Role
Pangea is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead the Test Strategy for some of our most impactful projects. In this role, you will partner closely with engineering, product, and design teams to ensure our software meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You'll shape our approach to testing, from defining scalable test strategies to ensuring efficient execution of automated and manual tests across platforms.
Our applications support real-time money transfers, fraud prevention, and international payment methods on Web, iOS, and Android. You will play a crucial role in driving end-to-end quality coverage as we evolve our stack. This evolution includes transitioning fully to React Native on the frontend and investing in scalable backend services.
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will:
- Define and lead the Test Plans for large-scale initiatives across web and mobile platforms
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to ensure test coverage meets both technical and business needs
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive regression and smoke test suites to ensure consistent product quality and seamless integration across the organization.
- Establish and evolve best practices for manual, automated, and exploratory testing, including UI, API, regression, and end-to-end scenarios
- Contribute to a culture of ownership and accountability for product quality
- Analyze and triage test failures, report issues clearly, and work cross-functionally to resolve them quickly
- Advocate for a shift-left testing mindset to ensure quality is baked in early in the development lifecycle
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including end-to-end ownership of test strategy and planning
- Experience working with Customer-facing product
- A quality-first mindset with excellent attention to detail and user experience
- Experience testing complex systems involving APIs and third-party integrations
- Ability to lead cross-functional efforts such as User Acceptance Testing and influence engineering practices
- Strong communication skills
- A passion for continuous improvement, learning, and elevating engineering quality
Bonus Points if you have:
- Experience building automated test frameworks for mobile and web applications
- Experience with QA tooling such as Cypress, Detox, Appium, Postman, or similar
- FinTech Background
Compensation:
The budgeted annual salary range for this position is $107,800 - $141,700. Actual annual salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, experience, and level assessed during the hiring process and may fall outside of the range shown. Additional compensation for this role may include a bonus and restricted stock units. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in Company benefits, described in more detail here.
