Envestnet is seeking a Business Analyst II – MoneyGuide to join our Moneyguide department. This is a hybrid role, with in-office work required at our Powhatan, VA office location.

Job Summary:

MoneyGuide, Inc. is the developer of MoneyGuidePro financial planning software. As an industry leader in innovation, we believe in providing advisors software that is smart, easy and adaptable to create friendly and meaningful goal-based financial plans for their clients. MoneyGuidePro is used by thousands of financial service professionals from small-size planning firms to large financial institutions. We are seeking a motivated individual who will be required to gain a deep understanding of MoneyGuidePro. In addition to having a mastery of current functionality, the employee will be part of the team that works with our enterprise-level clients to understand their business and communicates their needs to the technical team. Working with technical analysts, they will also be required to configure the software to meet customers’ needs, from implementation to maintenance, updates, and conversions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of relationships with Enterprise-level clients to understand their business needs and deliver practical solutions. This includes establishing project timelines, phases, resources, and prerequisites; partnering with resources across departments, documenting activity to ensure accurate records, tracking project milestones to ensure deadlines are met, and clearly communicating across varying levels of the organization.
  • Manage client requests for custom development, configuration or core product enhancements.
  • Ownership of the entire software development lifecycle experience for each Enterprise client.
  • Partner with the development team to create functional designs that satisfy the user requirement.
  • Determine the reasoning behind a client’s request and guide them towards an appropriate solution for their business.
  • Manage Enterprise-level technology projects, monitor applications, and provide analytical solutions to prioritize and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide system configuration and application support to business clients for technology onboarding, upgrades, and releases .
  • Effectively display high business acumen presence in meetings and in writing to influence and collaborate with people across the organization and the client organization.
  • Create RFP’s through reviewing competitive offerings, our strategic roadmap and the enterprise business needs.
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (degree in in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or other STEM related fields strongly preferred).
  • Experience, interest and aptitude in technology, specifically software development.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial services/financial planning industry and/or software development cycle.
  • Must enjoy working in a team environment with frequent customer contact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in solving problems and responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Must be willing and able to handle the pressures of our fast-paced software development cycle.
  • Knowledge of MoneyGuidePro preferred.
