About The Role:

As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to monitor and analyze costs to identify trends and improvement opportunities, partner with leadership to support the annual planning and budget cycle, and ensure alignment with corporate financial objectives through monthly forecasting and variance analysis. You will provide actionable recommendations to leadership, collaborate across departments to evaluate the financial impact of operational decisions and projects, and innovate and simplify processes by leveraging our ERP system (NetSuite) and business intelligence tools to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead annual operating plan, quarterly forecast, and monthly outlook processes; manage model integrity, version control, and scenario analyses.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure alignment with corporate financial objectives during planning and forecasting cycles.

Cost Monitoring & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze costs across departments to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to leadership based on cost analysis and operational insights.

Management Reporting & Variance Analysis

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, actuals, and prior year, with clear drivers and executive-ready commentary.
  • Develop dashboards and KPI scorecards that highlight trends and support decision-making.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with leadership teams to evaluate the financial impact of operational decisions and strategic projects.
  • Support departmental leaders with budget ownership, headcount planning, and spend pacing.

Process Innovation & Systems

  • Identify opportunities to innovate and simplify processes, leveraging NetSuite ERP and other BI tools to automate reporting and improve data accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within FP&A workflows.

Cash Forecasting & Reconciliations

  • Own short- and medium-term cash forecasting; reconcile cash drivers to operational and accounting inputs.
  • Partner with Accounting on close-related tie-outs to ensure FP&A ↔ GL alignment.

Parent-Company Reporting

  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly reporting to our parent company using multiple web-based reporting tools; ensure timely, accurate mappings and compliance with group standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or financial analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, sumifs, scenario modeling).
  • Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and order-to-cash processes.
  • Proven ability to tell the story behind the numbers and deliver actionable insights.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally and influencing decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work onsite (in Columbus, Ohio) a minimum of 2 days/week.

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA, CPA, or CFA.
  • NetSuite ERP experience (essential requirement); familiarity with DealHub, HubSpot, Smartsheets.
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and data visualization.
  • Exposure to manufacturing or biotech environments.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position is primarily performed in a temperature-controlled office environment with standard business equipment. The role involves frequent sitting or standing, computer work, and fine hand manipulation, with occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 25 pounds. The pace can be fast and demanding, especially around deadlines and during peak financial cycles. A standard Monday–Friday schedule applies, with flexibility for hybrid work. Occasional cross-time-zone collaboration.
