We are seeking an experienced multi-disciplinary software engineer to join our Internal Measurement team to lead the development of and take ownership of our TV Lab, which supports one of our critical pillars: Data Quality.
The TV Lab is a foundational part of our test bed helping us measure real-world accuracy of our Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) and other algorithms. You will be responsible for building out the system and the software tools/interfaces to: manage and operate physical hardware (i.e. TVs/boards, set-top boxes, etc); to capture and process lab data; and, to make the system and its data available to internal teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collaborate and communicate with stakeholder teams across the company to ensure alignment and delivery of an effective solution
- Architect, implement, operate, and maintain the TV Lab and develop a suite of supporting applications, tools, interfaces using current technologies and frameworks
- Develop data pipelines to process and make TV Lab data available for internal team consumption
WHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years of software development experience, including experience designing, building, and maintaining software services/systems
- Solid foundation in computer science and software engineering fundamentals
- Familiar with Python or Go and have the ability to learn new languages as needed
- Familiar with SQL or other data-centric languages
- Excited to drive high-value, high-quality projects quickly to completion in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience building systems with physical hardware components
- Experience with Spark, Databricks, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Interest in serving as a mentor to other engineers
- Interest in television and familiar with popular or trending content
