POSITION OVERVIEW
Represent Gentex Corporation to the respective global automotive OEM or Tier 1 Management Teams in developing and selling new and existing products or existing products combined with multiple new technologies in the automotive space. This function is to develop, maintain and expand high level relationships which will lead to future sales & profitable growth.
This role is located in West Michigan, onsite at a Gentex facility. International travel is required.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Oversee and direct business strategies with functional teams aligned with corporate sales goals in designated product areas, promoting growth for the business.
- Direct account activities and provide sales leadership by mentorship and communication with internal teams on diverse sales strategies and leverage to win new business.
- Negotiate commercial sales items in an effective manner that supports sales strategy.
- Promote and support new customer opportunities by developing understanding of customers’ organizational structure and interfacing with customer management teams.
- Meet with customer and internal global teams on a regular basis to gather information, promote Gentex products and develop unique sales strategies for the sale of its products.
- Represent the “voice of the customer” to internal teams and coordinate closely with all internal stakeholders to provide customer value-added solutions.
- Process customer Requests for Quotation with internal teams and prepare customer quotations in alignment with Gentex internal processes and procedures.
- Form effective and lasting relationships both internally and externally.
- Effectively manage customer relationships to balance requests and expectations with Gentex capabilities and corporate goals.
- Support the product development process and project realization process.
- Sales duties, consisting of preparing sales presentations for internal and external audiences in alignment with Gentex product strategy teams, preparing expense reports, supporting customer-led events and attend industry trade shows, promoting Gentex capabilities and technologies.
- Demonstrate a high level of communication skills and leverage business experience to interact effectively with the global team.

WHAT TO BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with a global automotive OEM.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills on a global scale.
- Strong relationship-building capability both regionally and globally.
- Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally, as necessary.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
