POSITION OVERVIEW
The Events Marketing Manager is responsible for management and execution of projects, trade shows, events, and related activities that support Gentex’s marketing and corporate communications initiatives.
This position requires on-site work at Gentex facilities. This role is not eligible for remote work.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage the execution of internal and external corporate, marketing, community relations, and HR events. Tasks will include the management of show registration, preparation of show properties and support materials, shipping coordination and labeling, event set-up and tear-down, event staffing and coordination.
- Organize and manage inventory and maintain the company’s marketing warehouse.
- Work with venue staff and suppliers to successfully execute events.
- Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment of invoices and charges relating to events and event materials.
- Manage the department’s box truck and demonstration vehicle maintenance.
- Support the pick-up and delivery of trade show collateral as needed, including but not limited to product panels, brochures, displays, furniture, vehicles, and other booth support materials.
- Effectively and properly repair and move trade show displays using a variety of tools and equipment consistent including forklifts, pallet jacks, diagnostic tools such as a multimeter, common hand tools and power tools.
- Organize and inventory the department’s physical assets such as trade show properties, vehicles, promotional materials, etc.
- Drive vehicles such as box trucks, demonstrator vehicles and trailers.
- Operate box truck mounted lift gates, forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Contribute to digital brand assets, including photos and videos, sales tool libraries, online repositories and sharing platforms.
- Manage the activities of external marketing and corporate communications vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in event management and project management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Willingness and ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, with the possibility of overnight travel, as needed.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 60 lbs.
WHAT WILL HELP
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Electrical/mechanical/automotive aptitude.
- Experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters.
- Experience with power tools such as circular/table saws, drills, etc.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- A current chauffer’s license or ability to obtain one.
- Familiarity with loading docks, dock plates, ratchet straps, load locks, E-track, etc.
- Experience driving box trucks and towing utility trailers.
- Previous customer service/sales experience.
- Experience with photography, videography and editing experience.
- Willingness to assist where/when needed.
- Willingness to learn and comprehend new software and other tools.
