SCHEDULE:
Employees are expected to maintain a hybrid in-office schedule.
SALARY RANGE:
$90,000 – 110,000 plus Benefits.
This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand.
GeoWealth is a Chicago-based fintech firm that offers an award-winning digital advisory platform, including Turnkey Asset Management Platform (“TAMP”) capabilities. We deliver a comprehensive and fully integrated wealth management technology platform to professionals in the financial services industry.
GeoWealth is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Senior Product Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the user experience of our Advisor and Client-facing platforms. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders across the organization to design intuitive, scalable, and impactful User Interfaces that drive user engagement and satisfaction.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will be expected to take initiative, operate independently, and quickly develop a deep understanding of GeoWealth’s digital wealth management platform. You’ll be instrumental in evolving our design system, owning the design strategy for key user-facing experiences, and applying modern design principles to solve complex problems with clarity and creativity. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the design strategy and direction for GeoWealth’s Advisor and Client-facing portals (including a mobile app), ensuring a cohesive and impactful user experience.
- Translate complex requirements into thoughtful, user-centered solutions that balance usability, functionality, and visual clarity.
- Define and maintain visual style guides, reusable components, and design patterns to ensure consistency across the platform.
- Create and deliver high-quality design assets—including wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes—to support product development and stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and business stakeholders to align on priorities and deliver high-impact features.
- Refine and adapt designs throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring feasibility and alignment throughout the build process.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform and validate design decisions.
- Stay current on design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously elevate the quality of our user experience.
- 5+ years of experience in product design, preferably in fintech or SaaS environments.
- Experience designing for financial platforms, TAMPs, or RIAs is a strong plus.
- Comfort with financial concepts such as performance reporting and investment products (stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, alternatives etc.)
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions across web and/or mobile platforms. Applicants are encouraged to include a link to their portfolio.
- Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and navigate complex platforms and systems.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of design initiatives.
- Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and user-centered design processes.
- Skilled at translating complex workflows into simple, elegant, and accessible user experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and a passion for delivering polished, high-quality work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, UX, or a related field preferred.
