Job Description:

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to support the financial requirements of the Greenfield Plant operations. This position is responsible for the Greenfield Plant cost management, general ledger, profit by product reporting, and the Greenfield Fixed Asset (FAS) software program and reconciling FAS details to the General Ledger. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working closely with both the on-site Accounting team and plant operations personnel. This position is meant to be primarily in-person in order to best support our Greenfield plant and Accounting team.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • Cost analysis experience
  • Knowledge of Accounting Operations
  • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-year College Degree in Accounting and/or Business
  • 4 years related work experience; prior cost accounting experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Glovia/SAP systems and overall systems understanding

Description of Duties and Responsibilities / Weight of Importance %

  • Cost Management / Product Costing (Greenfield): 30%
  • Fixed Asset Management (FAS): 25%
  • Monthly Closing & Reporting (Greenfield): 15%
  • KPI Reporting: 10%
  • Reconcile Accounts (Greenfield / USIN): 10%
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Internal Reports, Assist with Budgeting/Forecasting, Physical Inventory Support, Audit Support, etc.: 10%

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to promote and carry out Astemo principles.
  • Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
  • Confers with and prepares reports for upper management and possibly other Astemo companies
  • Maintains clean and orderly work environment in accordance with 6S
  • Ensures all local, state, and federal laws and regulations comply within functional area
  • Interacts with various levels of associates
  • Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed

Software:

  • Advanced experience with Excel required
  • Intermediate experience with FAS, Glovia/SAP, Corporate Performance Management (CPM), PowerPoint and Teams preferred

  • Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting
  • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
