Summary of the Position:
The Customer Service Specialist provides critical support by obtaining, verifying, and processing customer purchase orders, handling inquiries via phone and email, and resolving issues to ensure excellent service and high customer satisfaction. This role plays an essential part in supporting the REMAN team’s operational and production goals and works cross-functionally with other departments to maintain on-time delivery and monthly revenue targets.
Location: Hybrid, Michigan City, Indiana

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Enter and/or receive purchase orders for vendor purchases and SRC work content, coordinated by the REMAN Team Lead.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Experience working in a call center and knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Good data entry and typing skills; strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP.
- Strong listening skills and customer service orientation.
- Experience collaborating across multiple departments.
- Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Cross-training experience within customer service functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to assist in resolution of Non-Conforming Material issues.
- Receive, process, and verify the accuracy of customer orders.
- Initiate actions needed to respond to customer service requests, including servicing orders already placed (SOAP).
- Ensure quality service is provided to both internal and external customers.
- Participate in the customer service department’s continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness.
- Enter and manage all parts orders related to Springfield REMAN Corporation.
- Create and send Certificates of Origin for the REMAN department.
- Process work orders as needed.
- Support machine shipments and pick-ups in collaboration with the Team Lead.
- Assist with Trade packages and future departmental projects.
- Provide support to the MCI customer service phone queue.
- Maintain and update team Excel spreadsheets.
- Support monthly revenue targets by coordinating customer orders and service requests.
- Collaborate with internal departments to meet monthly production needs.
- Maintain departmental metrics and goals, including supporting a 90% or greater on-time delivery goal.
