Summary of the Position:
The Aftermarket Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue and growth of the aftermarket business for stationary equipment in alignment with Hitachi Global Air Power’s strategic objectives. This remote role works closely with Sullair’s dealers and channel partners to lead sales initiatives, enhance service capabilities, and execute parts and service programs that increase customer satisfaction and market share.
Location: Remote - Ability to travel 40–60% within the assigned territory (East or West Coast)

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Technical, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business, sales, technical, and/or aftermarket roles.
- Proven experience working with independent dealers and indirect sales models.
- Familiarity with service KPIs, warranty processes, and aftermarket stocking strategies.
- Familiarity with go-to-market and channel strategies, practices, and execution.
- Background in industrial manufacturing.
- Ability to travel 40–60% within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in air compressor or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Background in technical service or customer support.
- Prior success in sales training and distributor development.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with service KPIs, warranty processes, and aftermarket stocking strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive aftermarket parts and service sales growth through Sullair’s distributor network, supporting business objectives for protable equipment.
- Develop and implement annual aftermarket sales plans in collaboration with dealers to include the Area Sales Managers; provide guidance and monitor progress.
- Analyze regional sales performance, identify shortfalls, and recommend actions to meet growth targets.
- Act as primary regional contact for Voice of Customer and Voice of Dealer, stratigic partners and OEM’s feedback, relaying insights to product management and leadership.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term channel strategies, including tailored parts and service programs.
- Lead aftermarket sales and service training initiatives for channel partners and dealers.
- Create and manage regional parts stocking plans, including spare parts recommendations and inventory assessments.
- Train and mentor dealer service and parts teams to improve performance against Sullair KPIs and ensure a consistent customer experience.
- Support development of service programs and recovery efforts for lost customers using data insights.
- Coordinate warranty training and issue resolution with channel partners in collaboration with the Sullair Warranty Division.
- Serve as the key liaison between distributors and Sullair’s customer service team, championing the post-sale customer experience.
- Maintain and execute aftermarket playbooks for distributors, monitor performance, and address service gaps.
- Plan and lead execution of aftermarket sales programs and dealer events to drive targeted revenue growth.
