Are you a technically savvy leader with a passion for customer engagement and product excellence? Join Hitachi Energy as our Technical Sales Manager – Transformer Components and take charge of driving technical sales, product homologation, and end-user approvals for our North American portfolio based in Alamo, TN.

In this role, you’ll lead a team of technical sales professionals, guiding the entire customer product approval process—from identifying opportunities to securing orders. Your expertise will help shape our market presence, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional customer value.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and develop a high-performing technical sales team

  • Communicate technical product details clearly to customers and industry stakeholders

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet business targets

  • Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle

  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities

  • Manage the full homologation process, including documentation and testing coordination

  • Act as a liaison with regulatory authorities and testing labs

  • Oversee the end-user approval process and ensure product compliance with specifications

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in transformer components

  • Strong technical knowledge of transformer construction and operation

  • Experience with homologation and regulatory compliance

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and lead teams

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%
