The opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, we’re committed to powering a more reliable, sustainable future—and we’re looking for a Quality and Continuous Improvement Specialist to help lead the charge. In this field service-focused role, you’ll be the driving force behind quality initiatives that enhance reliability, reduce downtime, and elevate customer satisfaction across North America.


This is a remote-friendly opportunity with 30–40% travel, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere while staying connected to the action. You’ll collaborate with service teams, engineers, and global experts to solve complex challenges, implement continuous improvement strategies, and ensure our systems perform at their best throughout their lifecycle.


How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead root cause investigations and implement reliability improvements

  • Coordinate installation, commissioning, and after-sales quality efforts

  • Analyze failure and downtime data to optimize service strategies

  • Facilitate FMECA sessions and apply quality tools to mitigate risks

  • Support lifecycle asset management and spare parts planning

  • Drive customer experience initiatives and report on satisfaction metrics

  • Collaborate with global and local teams to share best practices

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines


Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electro-Mechanical preferred)

  • Minimum of 5 years in reliability or quality roles in manufacturing or service environments

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and quality tools (FMECA, RCA, etc.)

  • Skilled in data analysis, ERP/SAP systems, and condition monitoring tools

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Willingness to travel 30–40% across North America

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
