As a Project Manager – GCB (Generator Circuit Breaker), you’ll be at the heart of the energy transition, leading high-impact projects that integrate advanced high-voltage technologies into the grid. You’ll manage complex, multi-phase projects that span engineering, procurement, fabrication, and commissioning, often involving international coordination with our global manufacturing hubs. Your leadership will ensure seamless execution, customer satisfaction, and financial success across the North American market.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex GCB projects on time and within budget

  • Coordinate with global manufacturing sites to ensure timely product delivery

  • Manage project scope, schedule, and financials with precision

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders

  • Drive risk management and opportunity identification throughout the project lifecycle

  • Support procurement and supplier negotiations to optimize project outcomes

  • Capture and share lessons learned to continuously improve execution

  • Ensure smooth handover to service teams post-project completion

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project management or engineering of complex HV projects

  • Proven experience with GCB or similar HV equipment projects

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP

  • PMP or Hitachi Energy Project Manager Certification highly preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 30%

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
