Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Grid Components
The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a key member of our Sales team, where you’ll help shape the future of power reliability and grid modernization across the U.S. and Canada. In this role, you will drive growth for Medium and High Voltage solutions, partner closely with customers and collaborators, and elevate our presence across the utility, industrial, and transmission & distribution sectors. You’ll lead impactful technical engagements—webinars, seminars, presentations, and on‑site sessions—that influence specifications, build knowledge, and strengthen trusted relationships across the marketplace. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Develop and execute regional sales strategies for MV/HV products.
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across utilities and industrial users.
Deliver technical presentations, Lunch & Learns, and demand‑creation activities.
Partner with Front‑End Sales and account teams on visits, forecasting, and planning.
Build and manage long‑term customer and channel‑partner relationships.
Lead proposal discussions, negotiations, and contract follow‑through.
Monitor market trends and provide competitive insights.
Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure seamless project execution.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field—or equivalent experience.
5+ years in sales or business development within MV/HV, T&D, or utility sectors.
Strong understanding of power systems, substations, and distribution equipment.
Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Strong communication, relationship‑building, and negotiation skills.
Ability to travel 30%–50% within assigned region.
