The Opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, people development powers operational excellence. As a Training Specialist, you will play a key role in accelerating employee skill growth by supporting Structured On‑the‑Job Training (S‑OJT) and leading training-driven initiatives across the factory.

Partnering closely with the Training and Development Leader, this role blends hands-on facilitation, project execution, and continuous improvement. You’ll help transform processes into effective learning experiences, ensuring training is practical, engaging, and directly embedded into daily operations. From developing clear training documentation to tracking training effectiveness, your work will strengthen capability, consistency, and accountability across the workforce.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Facilitate Structured On‑the‑Job Training (S‑OJT) to accelerate skill development

  • Lead and support training-based projects aligned with factory goals

  • Create and maintain Job Instruction Breakdowns and training materials

  • Track training effectiveness using data and performance metrics

  • Promote engagement and accountability for learning outcomes

  • Partner with supervisors and leaders to identify and close skill gaps

  • Apply adult learning principles to hands-on training sessions

  • Support continuous improvement of training processes and tools

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training & Development, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience delivering structured training in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Experience facilitating S‑OJT or other skills-based training programs

  • Strong organization, communication, and project management skills

  • Ability to adapt training approaches to evolving operational needs

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and Lean principles is a plus
