Overview

The Director, Strategic Sourcing is a trusted business partner to senior leadership, owning category management and technology sourcing while driving cost savings, spend consolidation, and vendor optimization. This role blends strategic vision with hands‑on execution, working cross‑functionally with IS, FP&A, Finance, Accounting, and Legal to scale sourcing strategies aligned to enterprise financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Set and lead the company‑wide strategic vision for sourcing and procurement, aligned to business growth and financial objectives
  • Provide enterprise‑level leadership and governance across strategic sourcing operations, ensuring consistent execution, strong fiscal discipline, risk management, and adherence to policies, budgets, and performance expectations.
  • Own and evolve category management strategy, with a strong emphasis on technology procurement
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, contract terms, and commercial structures to achieve cost savings, cost avoidance, and spend consolidation targets
  • Maximize value from existing vendor relationships while ensuring objective, data‑driven vendor selection decisions
  • Lead sourcing strategy across cross‑functional committees and enterprise initiatives impacting procurement tools, policies, and processes
  • Develop, mentor, and lead category managers and technology subject‑matter experts
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with internal stakeholders and executive leadership

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing with a focus on technology sourcing

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in prior management experience

  • Significant experience leading strategic sourcing and category management teams, including deep expertise in technology procurement
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings, cost avoidance, and spend consolidation initiatives
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex business and spend data
  • Exceptional negotiation, decision‑making, and analytical skills
  • Strong executive‑level communication skills with a professional, discreet, and collaborative approach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with strong follow‑through and customer focus
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% as needed

The salary range for this role is $168,000 - $222,000. The listed salary range represents a good faith estimate at the time of posting. The listed range may be adjusted in the future based on business needs. Actual compensation will be based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, skills and experience.
