Healthcare Sales Engineer – Commercial (<10k employees)
Region: United States (Remote with occasional travel)
Why This Role Exists
- IGEL is expanding in healthcare where endpoint experience directly impacts clinical workflows and care delivery.
- This role exists to technically validate IGEL’s offering in prospect healthcare environments and grow existing customers.
- You will present the solutions, validate fitness ,and conduct proof of concept deployments.
What Success Looks Like
- By Month 4, you will conduct technical discovery for active opportunities, deliver demos and PoC's based on customer workflows.
- By Month8you will act as an account team partner to quickly vet and technically qualify healthcare opportunities.
What You’ll Own
- Presales lifecycle from discovery to technical validation with regular customer interaction.
- Presentation of IGEL’s offering and capabilities.
- Developing a total solution with customer stakeholders and partners as needed.
- Defining success criteria and running POCs to achieve technical validation.
- Leveraging personal and shared lab resources to validate and demonstrate solutions and workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong presentation and written communication skills.
- Experience in a customer-facing or sales-aligned technical role strongly preferred.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities to relevant outcomes and value.
- Experience working with and configuring EUC and VDI environments from major vendors.
- Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience with IGEL OS, UMS, and endpoint/thin client operating systems strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of SSO, IdP, and core networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- Ability to conduct customer-facing technical activities including discovery, demos, and PoC's.
- Experience working with reseller and/or alliance partners.
- Appreciation for 24x7 operation, BC&DR, security and compliance needs for clinical workstations.
- Exposure to healthcare environments and clinical workflows.
- Familiarity with Imprivata, Epic, Cerner, and other clinical applications.

- Environments are availability-sensitive and workflow-dependent.
- Shared devices, roaming users, and identity-driven access are common.
- Security and compliance requirements exist but vary by organization.
- Stakeholders include IT, security, and clinical teams.
- Success requires navigating technical constraints and aligning to customer needs.
How You’ll Work
- Partner with Commercial Account Managers to qualify and advance opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership and extended team to ensure solution viability.
- Engage partners where relevant to customer needs.
- Manage many active opportunities across many accounts.
- Represent IGEL for customer engagements and events.
- Communicate with technical clarity and practical credibility.
What This Role Is Not
- Demo-only presales without hands-on validation.
- Post-sales support or implementation.
- Isolated technical work removed from customers or revenue.
