Job Summary

IP Pathways is seeking a strategic and technically skilled Product Architecture Manager to lead the productization and refinement of our service and product portfolio. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for managing a small team and overseeing the full productization lifecycle—from identifying market needs and defining offerings to building pricing models, supporting go-to-market efforts, and coordinating operational rollout.

This role works closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and leadership to ensure our offerings are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with customer value. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise—particularly in infrastructure, cloud, and managed services—paired with business acumen, communication skills, and a passion for shaping impactful, market-ready solutions.

This is a full-time, salaried position based in our Urbandale, Iowa office, with hybrid flexibility available after onboarding.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, and leadership to shape product strategy and support go-to-market execution.
  • Define pricing models and service components using internally developed technologies and platforms.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation, including technical specs, service descriptions, and delivery playbooks.
  • Ensure internal teams are trained and equipped to deploy, support, and position services effectively.
  • Help guide efforts to streamline service deployment and operations through automation, orchestration, and emerging technologies.
  • Improve internal processes to support consistent onboarding, delivery, and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor customer needs, technology trends, and market shifts to inform ongoing service innovation.

Requirements

Requirements include but are not limited to the following:

  • 5+ years of experience—preferably in an MSP environment—with responsibilities in product, engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Experience managing or mentoring technical professionals.
  • Strong technical background with familiarity in cloud, infrastructure, and managed services.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and influence cross-functional outcomes.
  • Clear and effective communicator with strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working within Scrum or Agile development environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams or projects.
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and service delivery best practices.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering value.

Not Required, but Beneficial

  • Experience with ConnectWise PSA (formerly Manage)
  • Prior experience in a Product Architect or Technical Product Owner role
  • Familiarity with automation and orchestration platforms (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell)
