Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

KLA is seeking for a Process Improvement/Industrial Engineer Intern to join a PSO Operations- PEX group in Ann Arbor, MI to help develop systems and understand impacts of Engineering Change Order releases on Product Support Organization. This position provides an outstanding opportunity for those who are motivated to face challenges in analytical system development for KLA's processes. This position provides a unique opportunity to learn about industrial processes for the semiconductor industry. The position will work with multi-functional teams such as supply chain, manufacturing, field engineers, and product support. The candidate would work on process mapping, validating data source, and optimizing existing process documentation for quality control. Engineering documentation as well as basic analytical modeling will be required. Furthermore, it is encouraged that the intern will have analytics tool (Power BI) knowledge.

Qualification/Education Desired:

The successful candidate should have taken classes in industrial/mechanical engineering and have basic knowledge of process development. Experience with Six Sigma (Continuous Process Improvement) is a plus. The intern should have strong analytical capabilities (Power BI), strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate perseverance and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting with individuals across different geographies, as needed.
