KLA is looking for summer 2024 Mechatronics interns in our Ann Arbor, Michigan location. This position provides an opportunity to work with an engineering team to continuously improve the performance and capabilities of KLA’s inspection and metrology tools. Typical summer intern projects might involve design studies, control algorithm development and simulation, and/or software development to measure and visualize mechatronics system performance. The individual in this role will work on a team with other interns and engineers on a specific aspect of a larger project. Software tools such as LabVIEW, CREO, and MATLAB are usually used for these projects.

Desired qualifications/education (skills & experience):

The successful candidate will have coursework or hands-on experience with design/CAD, controls, finite element analysis, MATLAB scripting, and/or data acquisition. Experience with LabVIEW or Simulink is a plus. Experience with CAD (we use CREO) is also helpful for this position. The candidate should have strong analytical skills.
