We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled and detail-oriented Revenue Accounting Senior Manager to oversee all aspects of revenue recognition, deferred revenue schedules, invoicing, and collection processes at LeanTaaS. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with revenue recognition standards, and optimization of revenue operations.
We require the person in this role to be available to come to our Santa Clara office when needed. We are flexibility-first company, so there are no set days in the office.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the revenue recognition process, including the identification of performance obligations, allocation of transaction prices, and determination of revenue recognition timing
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline revenue operations and improve efficiency
  • Monitor and analyze revenue metrics and KPIs to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Legal teams to review and provide guidance on contract terms to ensure proper revenue recognition
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to revenue recognition and invoicing
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue accounting matters, providing guidance and training to cross-functional teams as needed
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of deferred revenue schedules in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606 guidelines
  • Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate issuance of invoices to customers, maximizing the usage of our software tools for this purpose
  • Oversee the collections process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables
  • Oversee accurate and timely customer payments cash application
  • Lead sales tax framework across the business

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in revenue accounting, or related roles, preferably in the SaaS sector
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606 and related guidance
  • Proficiency in Netsuite required; experience with revenue management software/tools (especially Salesforce) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
