Job Summary
This role is responsible for supporting power system applications and SCADA environments, with a focus on OSI Monarch platforms. The engineer will provide troubleshooting, system configuration, and monitoring to ensure high system reliability. This position may require participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation, depending on experience and availability.

Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing support for power system applications, including Automatic Generation Control (AGC) on OSI Monarch systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain the operational SCADA environment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Manage and update custom database configurations.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure accurate reliability reporting.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation as needed.
  • Develop and implement software solutions to meet business needs.
  • Produce and maintain documentation for infrastructure and support processes.
  • Participate in software testing, including review, analysis, and certification.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing with peers and junior team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting OSI Monarch SCADA systems.
  • Proficient understanding of communication protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, and ICCP.
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP security principles.
  • Understanding of WAN/VPN networking concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of C programming language.
  • Experience with RTUs (Remote Terminal Units).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)
  • Knowledge of Ladder Logic.
  • Experience developing customer-specific presentations and RFP responses.
  • Prior involvement in designing and deploying high-reliability energy or utility-based systems.
  • Ability to train, mentor, or provide work direction to others.
