Job Description:
We aspire to build an iconic, generational brand that is synonymous with homeownership and financial freedom. As EVP, you’ll be responsible for defining Lower’s value proposition for consumers and loan originators and bringing that to life on our site and with our originators in the field.
You’ll also be responsible for onboarding and supporting our distributed network of retail loan originators. Every originator should be an extension of our brand with all the modern marketing tools to reach and engage consumers, realtors and builders in their local markets. We’re looking to build a next-generation omni-channel retail marketing machine using the latest AI technology to develop a system that is fast, efficient, and delivers a level of service to our originators that is unmatched in the industry.
This role requires a visionary leader with strong team-building skills and a mix of creative, strategic, and operational talents, capable of thriving in a fast-paced business environment. You’ll report to the president of the company and will be a member of the executive staff at Lower.
This position is based in Columbus, OH or Austin, TX with hybrid-remote accommodations only for the most qualified candidates. Travel expected 50% in the first six months, 25% thereafter.
Who you are:
- 10+ years of marketing leadership w/ 5+ yrs at the exec level supporting a distributed salesforce
- Proven track record developing and executing marketing programs that drive ROI
- Strategic vision to position Lower’s brand to stand out in a competitive marketplace
- A designer’s eye to build a brand that is iconic, memorable and aspirational
- Experience buying and integrating technology to deliver marketing solutions at scale
- Thought leadership around how to apply AI in a marketing context to turbo-charge team output
- Experience navigating regulatory environments while creating compelling campaigns.
- Executive presence to represent the company to customers, employees, partners and investors.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, finance, or related field; MBA is a plus.
What you’ll do:
- Create a vision: connect with clients and originators, evaluate our competitors, seek inspiration from thought-leaders outside the industry and develop a vision for Lower’s brand and how we’ll empower both our performance marketing team and our local originators to build Lower’s business
- Build your team: Lower’s existing marketing team is mighty but needs to grow in order to execute against the full scale of the opportunity. Create an organizational structure, job descriptions, and a budget for Lower to win
- Develop Lower’s brand & bring it to life: work with a combination of in-house and 3rd-party designers, writers, and producers to build Lower’s brand book and create the assets we’ll use to power our marketing campaigns
- Create a retail marketing machine: build a system of tools and services that turn every Lower originator and branch office into a powerful voice to connect with consumers, realtors and builders in the local community. This is an omni-channel effort spanning web, social, search, CRM, print, and event marketing
- Deliver next-level service to our loan originators: from the moment a loan originator signs their offer letter to join Lower we want the onboarding experience and ongoing support to be world-class. You’ll develop a system and set of SLAs to respond to marketing support requests with the highest priority going to our highest producers.
