Job Description:

We are a nationwide mortgage lender specializing in residential and commercial lending. We are hiring for a Senior Copywriter strategically aligns business problems with copy-driven creative solutions and ideas. If you're passionate about storytelling, skilled in simplifying the complex, and thrive in fast-paced, mission-driven environments, we’d love to meet you.

What you’ll do:

  • Create and continuously develop voice and tone for the Lower brand
  • Write content for all brand touch points, including web, social media, print, etc.
  • Introduce ideas beyond just copy to include strategy, concept and visual execution
  • Work directly with internal business groups and senior leadership to solve business problems
  • Guide junior and midlevel writers, including reviewing and feedback on work as needed
  • Discover strategic insights and work with the team to convert them into compelling creative
  • Edit and proofread materials, emails, etc.
  • Concept and research new products, concepts, and ideas
  • Follow all projects from start to finish including creation, editing, proofing, launch and integrating feedback
  • Develop strategy briefs
  • Help creating presentations
  • Ad campaign ideation
  • Communicate ideas for motion through animated mock-ups, verbally describe the end-to-end intent of user interaction visual response of the interface
  • Take direct responsibility for assisting with user experience visions, user interface specifications, wireframes and functional prototypes
  • Be proactive and seek involvement. Infuse your input into both active projects and those to come:
    • Meet with project leads to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the experience
    • Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts: developing interactive design and visually communicate interaction patterns and animation response
    • Work with a range of media and keep up-to-date with emerging technologies
    • Organize your production file structures and proofread comps to produce accurate and high-quality work
    • Collaborate with team members to receive and communicate constructive criticism

Who you are:

  • Be a champion for Lower’s brand voice
  • 6-8 years of professional writing experience
  • Demonstrable experience in writing campaigns and ad copy
  • Strong portfolio showcasing impactful, clear, and persuasive writing—especially for complex products or services
  • Excellent grasp of brand voice and tone, with experience evolving or maintaining a consistent content style
