Job Description:

Lower Mortgage is looking for an experienced and visionary Creative Director to lead brand creative direction and execution across Lower Mortgage and our family of DBA brands. This leader will be responsible for ensuring all creative assets reflect our brand standards, support business goals, and resonate with audiences across both corporate and field marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in building and managing high-performing creative teams, driving brand consistency, and turning complex business objectives into clear, compelling, and compliant visual storytelling. This role requires a strong balance of hands-on creative direction, operational oversight, and collaboration across marketing, sales, and executive leadership.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Creative Direction: Own and evolve the visual identity, tone, and style across all brands within the Lower family to ensure cohesive, scalable, and differentiated storytelling.
  • Manage the Creative Team: Oversee a team of graphic designers and multimedia specialists responsible for producing digital, print, video, and event assets.
  • Brand Stewardship: Serve as the guardian of brand consistency and creative quality across all platforms, including social, email, web, advertising, and collateral.
  • Project Execution: Partner with marketing managers and stakeholders to translate campaign objectives into creative concepts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the retail sales team, corporate, builder, and retail marketing teams to develop materials that support both company-wide initiatives and individual sales needs.
  • Workflow Automation: Collaborate with marketing operations to streamline workflows by integrating creative systems with Airtable, Webflow, HubSpot, and other connected platforms to improve productivity and data accuracy.
  • HTML & Email Execution: Oversee the design and development of HTML email campaigns, ensuring they are visually aligned, technically sound, and ready for implementation — including within Salesforce Flows when applicable.
  • Creative Operations: Establish scalable design systems, workflows, and templates that balance customization with brand control.
  • Vendor + Agency Coordination: Manage external creative vendors, freelancers, and agencies as needed for overflow work or specialized projects.
  • Strategic Input: Contribute to campaign planning and creative strategy sessions to align creative output with audience insights, product goals, and compliance requirements.
  • Quality + Compliance Oversight: Ensure all creative deliverables meet brand, regulatory, and licensing standards for mortgage marketing.
  • Leverage AI in Creative Production: Utilize AI tools and workflows to drive more efficient creative development and production for increased speed, scalability, and innovation.

Who you are:

  • 8+ years of experience in creative direction, design management, or brand leadership — ideally within a financial services, mortgage, or multi-brand environment.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring in-house design teams and agency partners.
  • Exceptional visual storytelling and communication skills across both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand systems, and production workflows.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud and familiarity with collaborative tools like Figma, Maxa, and Total Expert a plus.
  • Ability to balance big-picture creative strategy with attention to executional details and deadlines.
  • Experience managing brand consistency across multiple business units or DBAs preferred.
