Job Description:

The Premier Processing Specialist represents the highest-performing production tier within Sales Support Operations. This role is more than a traditional senior processor. It is a high-performance production leadership position responsible for carrying large pipelines, handling complex loan scenarios, and modeling exceptional service standards for both Sales and Operations. Premier Processing Specialists operate as performance examples within the organization—demonstrating urgency, ownership, and a high-performance mindset that elevates peers and drives best-in-class outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

High-Performance Production (Primary Accountability)

  • Independently manage large, high-volume pipelines of up to 50 active files while maintaining speed and quality standards
  • Consistently deliver performance at or above enterprise KPI thresholds
  • Submit underwriting-ready files with minimal rework or condition layering
  • Maintain clean documentation and strong file integrity throughout the loan lifecycle

Complex File & Product Expertise

  • Handle complex borrower scenarios including layered income, assets, credit nuances, and multi-product structures
  • Demonstrate proficiency across product types, including conventional, government, jumbo, and specialty programs
  • Serve as a trusted resource for escalated or difficult file structures within the region
  • Anticipate underwriting requirements to reduce touches and accelerate cycle times

Elevated Service & Sales Partnership

  • Provide exceptional communication and proactive updates to Loan Officers and LOAs
  • Demonstrate urgency and responsiveness in all borrower and sales interactions
  • Operate with a solution-oriented mindset when challenges arise
  • Protect and enhance the sales experience through disciplined execution

Surge & Coverage Leadership

  • Provide PTO coverage and overflow support across the region
  • Absorb pipeline surges without compromising cycle times or quality
  • Support regional capacity balancing when needed

Cultural & Performance Example

  • Model a high-performance, ownership-driven mindset
  • Reinforce standardized workflow expectations
  • Demonstrate accountability without excuses
  • Elevate team standards through example, not authority

Performance Expectations:

  • Premier Processing Specialists are expected to consistently meet or exceed:
  • 25+ monthly fundings (where volume supports)
  • Ability to effectively manage pipelines of up to 50 active files
  • 3-day processing to submit
  • 7-day condition to Clear-to-Close
  • 14-day submitted to Clear-to-Close
  • 2.5 or fewer underwriting touches on average
  • Exceptional internal and sales satisfaction feedback

Qualifications:

  • Proven high-performance track record in mortgage processing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex pipelines independently
  • Deep understanding of underwriting guidelines and submission quality
  • Strong product knowledge across conventional and government programs
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality and urgency
  • Ability to operate in a high-accountability, performance-driven culture

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Remote or In-Office
  • May be asked to support surge capacity or transition efforts as needed.
