About the Role:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for transactional, operational, and strategic management of accounts payable. Additional responsibilities include general system maintenance/requests/support. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality in all aspects of job performance. This position will support multi-entity and multi-location operations.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities

About the Role:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for transactional, operational, and strategic management of accounts payable. Additional responsibilities include general system maintenance/requests/support. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality in all aspects of job performance. This position will support multi-entity and multi-location operations.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment, including invoices, obtaining approval, and entering invoices for payment.
- Manage the full corporate credit card cycle, including ensuring all receipts are attached, transactions are within policy, obtaining approval, and completing reconciliations.
- Responsible for monthly accounts payable journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure all accounts payable policies and procedures are adhered to including travel related expenses, vendor approval and invoice processing.
- Responsible for IRS 1099 compliance and reporting.
- Responsible for imaging and record retention of all accounts payable documents.
- Manage vendor relations and build effective partnerships.
- Partner with Leadership and identify and implement process improvements.
- Assist team with gathering support for all audits, including pulling documentation.
- Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices.
- Verifying expenses are charged to the correct legal entity, account, department, and location.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma
- Associate's degree in Accounting
- In lieu of associate's or bachelor's degree, 3-5 years accounts payable experience
- 1-5 years of experience with accounts payable or general accounting.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Thorough knowledge in all aspects of accounts payable.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately, both written and orally.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Strong analytic abilities.
- Experience with Ramp and Bill.com, preferred
- An entrepreneurial spirit. Must be a tenacious self-starter.
- Flexible and adaptable to a constantly changing workload.
- Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- A sense of humor and a down-to-earth nature.
