At Merge, Product Managers define, develop, and deliver innovative, market-leading offerings that provide iconic user experiences. They work cross-functionally with development, design, marketing, communications, and sales teams to bring differentiated solutions to market.

Operating with significant autonomy, the Product Manager leads the innovation strategy for specific products, making key decisions with leadership support. This role requires strong product expertise, prioritization skills, and a deep understanding of client needs. Responsibilities include gathering Voice of Business, Customer, and Market insights; developing and defending business cases; tracking success metrics; and managing the end-to-end product lifecycle.

Key functions include prioritizing user needs, defining product vision, and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver successful offerings. Product Managers also shape roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and ensure alignment with revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Success is measured by client satisfaction, business outcomes, product quality, and timely innovation.

At the senior level, the Sr. Director of Product Management expands their influence across the full product portfolio. This includes defining portfolio strategy, driving growth, identifying new revenue opportunities, mentoring product managers, and improving tools and processes to advance product management capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a general manager for markets, products, and portfolios, translating business strategy into a portfolio strategy aligned with Merge’s mission.

  • Own and manage a 3-year portfolio roadmap by leveraging data, research, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Drive portfolio success by ensuring compelling user experiences, financial performance, and overall strategic alignment.

  • Define and defend business cases; identify and track key success metrics.

  • Shape user value propositions and experience roadmaps; guide the design of differentiated and competitive products.

  • Act as the voice of the customer, integrating feedback into portfolio and product decisions.

  • Determine minimum viable products and prioritize industries, user segments, and features for each release.

  • Lead commercialization readiness and ensure all launch support activities are complete.

  • Maintain competitive intelligence across pricing, market position, and customer feedback.

  • Represent the portfolio in client/prospect engagements, user meetings, tradeshows, and internal communications.

  • Lead partnership activities including assessments, contracting, onboarding, and relationship management.

  • Educate internal stakeholders on market dynamics, product positioning, and key differentiators.

  • Comply with Merge’s product management and QMS standards for releases and innovation.

  • Mentor new product managers and champion improvements in product management tools and processes.

  • Lead and manage product management teams and define overarching portfolio strategy.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong people management and leadership skills in a matrixed organization.

  • Solid business acumen with P&L experience and a track record of driving profitable growth.

  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills; effective in customer-facing roles and public forums.

  • Deep healthcare industry knowledge, particularly in cardiology imaging and reporting.

  • Understanding of market/user needs, pricing dynamics, and product value delivery.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on efficiency and cost reduction.

  • Proven ability to build relationships across organizations, healthcare providers, and industry/government partners.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years in product management, preferably in cardiology imaging/reporting.

  • At least 8 years working in cross-functional teams developing product offerings.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

  • Proven business acumen and cross-functional leadership experience.

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or MBA degree.

  • 10+ years in product management, healthcare product delivery, and cross-functional leadership.

  • 10+ years engaging with healthcare providers and enabling sales through product strategy.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Flexible office environment.

  • Travel: 25–40%.
