Who you are

Metropolis is seeking a Director of Operations Strategy to join our Operations team. As the Director of Operations Strategy, you will be responsible for designing, driving, and optimizing operational strategies that support Metropolis's growth and efficiency across all markets. This role sits at the intersection of operations, strategy, data, and product — requiring a leader who can distill complex data into actionable insights and collaborate cross-functionally to execute high-impact initiatives.

You will play a critical role in scaling Metropolis’s operational engine, identifying areas of improvement, leading strategic planning cycles, and overseeing execution of priority projects across the company’s portfolio.

What you'll do

  • Lead annual and quarterly operations strategy planning cycles in alignment with company objectives
  • Develop and communicate strategic initiatives across core operational domains (e.g., field ops, supply chain, customer operations, vendor management
  • Identify and size growth and efficiency opportunities to inform resource allocation and investment.
  • Define and track key operational KPIs; use data to drive performance improvements across markets
  • Build dashboards and reporting systems to monitor real-time and long-term operational health
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to develop forecasting models, scenario planning tools, and ROI analyses
  • Act as a thought partner to product, engineering, finance, and executive teams to ensure operational needs are aligned with company priorities
  • Collaborate with local market GMs and regional leads to scale best practices and operational playbooks
  • Identify gaps in workflows, systems, and processes; lead initiatives to redesign and streamline operations
  • Work closely with the Product team to prioritize tools, systems, and technology that support operational scalability
  • Manage a high-performing team of strategy and operations professionals; support hiring, coaching, and development
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in operations, strategy consulting, or business operations, preferably in high-growth technology or marketplace environments
  • Proven success in leading strategic initiatives and operational transformations at scale
  • Strong analytical capabilities; fluency in Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading through ambiguity

When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more. #LI-DL1 #LI-Onsite
