Mimecast is looking for talented and energetic Software Engineering Interns to join our Engineering team at Bangalore Development Center.
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on our core products and services as well as those which support critical functions of our engineering operations.
Using your foundational knowledge in computer science, you will develop new ideas and gain an in-depth understanding of our products. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing and releasing quality Product Features that delight our customers.

What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be working on latest Tech Stack -and your responsibilities will include:
• Research, conceive and develop software applications to extend and improve on Mimecast’s product offering.
• Contribute to a wide variety of projects utilising natural language processing, artificial intelligence, data compression, machine learning and search technologies.
• Collaborate on scalability involving access to massive amounts of data and information.
• Overcome the challenges presented to you as part of your development.
• Participate in building state of the art services, that enable our customers to protect their organizations against modern security threats.
• Collaborate with other engineers in the team.
• Get exposure to Software Development Life Cycle from requirements till production release including Development, Quality Assurance, DevOps etc.
What You’ll Bring:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science Engineering or related field, with a significant software coding component and Currently entering the penultimate year of study.
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Python etc.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux and APIs.
• Demonstratable ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Strong communication skills with experience in effectively communicating and providing demo on technical concepts.
• Any knowledge Cloud Based platform, ideally AWS would be desirable.
